At Shiloh we take seriously the Christian call to action. Scripture teaches us to be the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16), to be the hands and feet of Christ, as well as good works being the evidence of genuine faith (James 2:14). Whether it’s contributing non-perishable food items on the first Sunday of the month (Cans on Communion), or taking up a special collection for an organization or individual in need, we believe in putting our faith into action. Other areas of service and outreach include participation in community events in Stanton and all of Powell County.

The mission statement of the United Methodist Church (“To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world”) rings true in any act of service we take on. We are always seeking more ways to better our community and the world.
